(4/25/16 – Syracuse, NY) The ABC Creative Group-created RecruitNY statewide open house weekend once again inspired numerous volunteer fire departments to run weekend events aimed at new recruits in their communities.
More than 550 fire departments across the state used live demonstrations, barbecues and other promotional activities during the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York (FASNY) RecruitNY initiative April 23 and 24.
ABC, which created the campaign six years ago, handled all the creative assets for building buzz for the event, which included sponsorships from major retailers like Price Chopper, Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes, Hannaford Supermarkets, King Kullen and the New York Association of Convenience Stores. Marketing materials ranging from posters and yard signs to social media imagery and Web banner ads were made available on the website built by ABC.
The agency also handled communications with departments and state organizations to get them involved in what proved to be another successful drive.
ABC produces a monthly e-newsletter that goes to 13,000 members and a bi-monthly magazine delivered to 45,000. Both were heavily used to promote the event, which also received statewide media coverage under the guidance of New York City-based Dan Klores Communications (DKC).
