Credit unions were the original disrupters, a tradition that carries on today. CUs represent a progressive take on personal finance, something the New Jersey Federal Credit Union League wanted to illustrate in a 30-second spot.
ABC’s creative team set out to frame up credit unions as a forward-thinking alternative to banks. So we created Jeff, a victim of old-school thinking unaware of the credit union benefits like profit-sharing and lower interest rates.
That’s just one in a series of Jeff’s “bad moves,” which include a questionable wardrobe and ugly breakdancing. The moral of our 30-second story? Don’t get stuck in the past. Don’t do banking the way you’ve always done just because.
