As the craft beverage boom began to take shape nationwide, we set out to prove that Central New York wasn’t just brewing craft beer — it was growing a unique culture around it, anchored by a fascinating history in craft brewing and hop production. So we grabbed the cameras, hit the backroads and sat down with the people turning hops, apples and grain into something worth traveling for.
Every season since, we’ve criss-crossed a massive 12-county region in the middle of New York State – breweries, barns, basements, wherever – capturing hours of conversation and b-roll, then cutting it down to the good stuff: 40 episodes (and counting) of Stories on Tap. Grit, pride, personality distilled into short films, photography and editorial content that feel as handcrafted as the product itself.
Those stories have legs. We keep tapping the archive to spin out endless social clips that fuel the Brew Central feed year-round, year after year.
The payoff? More than 1.3 million YouTube views, national press, industry awards and – most importantly – tons of new visitors the tasting rooms of proud breweries, cideries and distilleries across the region.
