President Joe Biden visited Syracuse to announce a $6.1 billion grant to support Micron Technology’s planned semiconductor megafab plant and ABC was there to elevate the profile of Onondaga County before, during and after the monumental event.
Our efforts centered around a significant PR blitz that saw multiple releases go out to our database of national media. We invited numerous outlets to collect commentary from Onondaga County Executive J. Ryan McMahon II, who’s played a major role in the progress of Micron’s $100 billion investment – the largest private-sector commitment in New York State’s history happening at the county’s White Pine Science and Technology Park in Clay.
We took advantage of the growing buzz around Micron in Central New York and joined the Onondaga County Industrial Development Agency (OCIDA) team on the ground to manage press inquiries on the day of the historic announcement at the MOST. Our film crew joined the press corps to document the event for OCIDA, which will use these assets to promote the economic advantages of the region.
We continue to support all of OCIDA’s efforts with strategic communications for various initiatives designed to grow and strengthen the business community here in Onondaga County.
