(2/22/18 – Syracuse, N.Y.) One of the country’s top beer blogs recently included Brew Central in its new webseries “Turning Craft.”
The Brew Central tourism campaign was launched by ABC Creative Group to lure craft beverage enthusiasts to the Central New York Travel Region. The PR team pitched the folks behind the Brew Studs website as part of its influencer outreach efforts.
The Ohio-based Brew Studs is one of the highest circulated beer blogs on the Internet and just launched their online video series dubbed “Turning Craft.” The webseries takes viewers to different breweries from around the country while educating the audience about craft beer and attempting to turn casual beer drinkers into craft fans.
While in the region, Turning Craft visited Brew Central partner producers F.X. Matt Brewing/Saranac in Utica, Brewery Ommegang in Cooperstown, Empire Farm Brewery in Cazenovia, Good Nature Farm Brewery & Tap Room in Hamilton, Upstate Tavern at Turning Stone Casino, Local 315 Brewing Co. near Syracuse and Woodland Farm Brewery in Marcy. Both episodes have since racked up tens of thousands of views on YouTube and Facebook.
ABC coordinated the funding and sponsorships to bring Turning Craft to Central New York to film two 20-minute episodes of the show. The Brew Central-devoted episodes focus on the farm brewery movement and corresponding legislation that make this new brew movement so popular in New York state.
Brew Central is a marketing initiative for the Central New York Travel Region that highlights the growing craft beverage industry across 11 counties. Managed by the creatives at ABC, Brew Central’s website and social media pages first launched in 2013 and created a platform for craft beer, wine, spirit and cider lovers to completely plan a trip and learn the backstories of the devoted Brew Central partners.
The campaign has since earned coverage in many national publications and several industry awards for video production and advertising.
