(6/5/18 – Syracuse, N.Y.) ABC Creative Group is proud to aid Syracuse nonprofit McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center in introducing a national event, Over the Edge, to Central New York.
Child abuse victims face more fear in their young lives than most adults ever have to, so Over the Edge challenges community leaders to do just that by rappelling down the side of a building.
ABC has been an active supporter of the Center over the years, aiding in fundraising, branding and event marketing. ABC has even created award-winning PSAs to help the MRCAC shine a light on child abuse, a topic that too frequently is ignored.
“We strive to inspire people to act for causes of all kinds, whether it’s moving a product off the shelves or rallying the community around a nonprofit organization,” said ABC Owner and Creative Director Travis Bort, who also serves on the organization’s Board of Directors. “We work here, and we live here, so local causes like the McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center are especially important to us.”
The MRCAC is dedicated to ending child abuse in Onondaga County, helping over 1,000 abused and neglected children each year. The Center’s multi-disciplinary approach handles prevention, intervention and education to meet the needs of the community’s children and families.
