ABC Creative Selected to Lead Statewide County and Local Fair Campaign

ABC Creative Group is partnering with the Department of Agriculture and Markets to drive more traffic to county and local fairs in a massive statewide campaign. ABC was selected from a competitive pool of agencies from around New York state to take on the initiative set to launch this summer.

Recognizing the economic significance of these events, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and the state Legislature have committed $1 million for promotion and advertising of all county and local fairs. Upward of 8 million people head to local fairgrounds across New York each summer and contribute over $1 billion to local economies. More than 50 counties and communities host these fairs statewide. ABC is busy prepping marketing strategy and creative assets for the fair season that kicks off in June and ends in October.

The campaign will have numerous components, including a multimedia campaign in dozens of markets and an online presence to engage the public and guide people to their nearest fairs. Part of the initiative also aims to draw in more exhibitors to attend and compete at these fairs.

It’s all part of a high-level marketing strategy comprehensively designed to get more people to their local and nearby county fairs. From the state’s major markets to rural counties, New Yorkers everywhere are sure to see and hear ABC-created communications this summer. So, get out there and head to your county or local fair!
