(10/15/15 – Syracuse, N.Y.) ABC Owner and Creative Director Travis Bort was recently elected to the board of the McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center.
Founded in 1998, the Syracuse nonprofit dedicates itself to ending child abuse through intervention and education. McMahon/Ryan strives to provide a non-threatening, child-focused environment and efficient access to a full range of services to children and families directly impacted by serious physical and sexual child abuse.
Staff members and partners offer medical evaluations, assistance with the legal process, therapy and support groups. McMahon/Ryan also performs community outreach and hosts training for professionals who may deal with child abuse cases.
The 18-member McMahon/Ryan Board of Directors is responsible for guiding the organization on its mission to end child abuse in Onondaga County through intervention and education.
Bort will lend his marketing expertise to the organization’s marketing efforts, including messaging and communications that promote McMahon/Ryan’s services and fundraisers.
