ABC Shares the Exceptional Family Resources Story

(6/12/20 – Syracuse, N.Y.) A Syracuse nonprofit dedicated to helping developmentally disabled children and adults has a new platform for sharing its story.

Exceptional Family Resources (EFR) has more than a new logo and look, it has a strong message to spread among those who can benefit from their services as well as the general public and prospective donors.

EFR turned to ABC Creative for the agency’s abundant experience in the nonprofit arena, particularly with Central New York organizations. Research determined that the best way to share EFR’s services would be through testimonials that illustrate their effectiveness. ABC worked with EFR to collect the best examples, which were utilized on a redesigned website. EFR also put a priority on recruitment, so employee testimonials were integrated into print pieces. ABC also manages EFR’s social media platforms.

Started around a kitchen table as a parent support group, EFR has been “Empowering Exceptional People” for more than 40 years. Today, they employ more than 400 direct support professionals and offer more than a dozen services.

EFR focuses on independence and choice for developmentally disabled individuals and their families, something expressed in refreshed messaging guided by ABC.
