8/1/09 – The Central Leatherstocking Region’s travel magazine, Simply Getaway Volume 5 was recently featured on The Beat, the official source for New York State tourism news, produced by I Love NY.
The bi-annual magazine, Simply Getaway features articles, events and news in the Central Leatherstocking Region and is mailed to over 30,000 homes each year. It is also distributed at several travel centers throughout New York State. As in previous volumes, Simply Getaway Volume 5 includes an online contest to win vacation packages, prizes, and other area promotions. ABC Creative Group has been writing and creating the Simply Getaway magazine for over two years for the region.
“The magazine-style travel guide has significantly helped the Central Leatherstocking Region increase visitation to the area. We developed a strategy a few years ago to ditch the “standard” travel guide look and create a magazine for the region. We also implemented strategies within the magazine to help grow Central Leatherstocking Region’s database of qualified leads; like the giveaways and contests.
