Brew Central: Stories on Tap

The Brew Central Stories on Tap is a video project nearly a decade in the making. ABC shot and produced more than 30 episodes to tell the story of the Central New York Travel Region’s rich hop history and current brewery boom.

The Brew Central initiative was a niche tourism campaign aimed at craft beverage connoisseurs coast to coast. We used the colorful stories behind the beers and the brewers to attract them to a region that previously struggled to find an identity.

Each episode tells the tale of a different craft brewer. To capture these dozens of stories, ABC’s film crew crossed a massive region of 10 counties in the heart of New York state. The footage was 100 percent shot, edited and produced in-house.
