RecruitNY is a statewide fire department open house sponsored by the Firemen’s Association of the State of New York (FASNY) that each year inspires upward of 600 organizations to run weekend events aimed at new volunteer firefighter recruits in their communities.
ABC, which created the campaign in 2011, handles all the creative assets for building buzz for the event, which in the past included sponsorships from major retailers like Price Chopper, Nice N Easy Grocery Shoppes, Hannaford Supermarkets, and the New York Association of Convenience Stores. ABC-created marketing materials ranging from posters and yard signs to social media imagery and web banner ads were made available on the website built by ABC.
ABC produces a monthly e-newsletter that goes to 13,000 members and a bi-monthly magazine delivered to 45,000. Both were heavily used to promote the event.
