(5/8/19 – Syracuse, N.Y.) ABC Creative Group was recently honored with a Communicator Award of Excellence in the Branding for Integrated Campaign category.
The Award of Excellence – the national competition’s highest honor – recognized a recent rebrand of Visit Binghamton that included a revamp of all marketing messaging and materials.
The ABC team spent 2017 immersed in research and creative development to produce a campaign centered around the tagline “Be Part of Our Story.”
To bring the brand that connects Binghamton’s prominent past to its promising future to life, the storytellers of ABC came up with a multimedia campaign that includes feature-length stories and video series called “Bing Stories.”
Combining the power of video, in addition to the written word, ABC crafted 9 stories for the website that were also integrated in the 2018 Binghamton travel guide. An extensive historical feature paints the big picture both on the web and in print. All these stories took forefront in the guide in a strategy to give the publication more of a travel magazine feel.
With over 6,000 entries received from across the U.S. and around the world, the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring the creative excellence of communications professionals.
The Binghamton campaign was also recognized by the New York State Tourism Industry Association (NYSTIA) Annual Meeting with a Tourism Excellence Award in Overall Marketing back in fall 2018.
